My name is Jacopo Tich, and I was born in Bassano del Grappa, Italy, in 1995.
I discovered my passion for filmmaking at a young age, shooting videos with a mini DV camera and involving friends and family in my early creative experiments. Over time, I developed my skills independently, shaping both my style and technical approach. After high school, I began working in the audiovisual industry, producing promotional videos and documentaries for businesses and broadcasters.
These early collaborations helped me grow creatively, technically, and as part of a team. From 2019 to 2022, I studied Film Directing at the Civica Scuola di Cinema Luchino Visconti in Milan, where I graduated and met many of my current collaborators.
My directorial debut came with the western short film Tre Briganti a Campobasso (2022), which premiered at the Nuovo Cinema Aquila in Rome during the XXI edition of the RIFF – Rome Independent Film Festival. The film was awarded at the Monza Film Fest and screened in cinemas across Italy,
Centogusti (2022), my second short film, was produced by the Civica and served as my final graduation project. It marked the beginning of several collaborations with professionals in the Italian film industry.
In 2023, I co-directed Klepto with Silvia La Tessa. The film, shot in Milan and self-produced, premiered at the XXII edition of the RIFF in Rome and won many awards.
I’ve also worked in international cinema as assistant director on the Italian scenes of Lady Chatterley’s Lover, distributed by Netflix
Alongside short films, I’ve directed music videos and documentaries, and worked as an editor for production companies like Sky and Borotalco.tv, working on commercials for major brands (TEZENIS, SATISPAY)
